What the hell? Why? Cuz spading?.christ, spend some GE for weapon upgrades and go back playing CAS in tanks or Arcade. Really, it is what I see in matches in >90% of cases. Also the F-104G won't suddenly ripp off the wings for just no obvious reason. Lacks too much features which are neccessary to survive in a top tier enviroment. The F4F early is just quite a bit toooo basic. Its totally pointless without countermeasures and ballistic computer and sadly the F-104G is still the best GER multirole craft for GF RB 10.7. So what I want to say: Just leave the F-4F early alone. They just can't shot SAMs after your six in a F-104G, while your F-4F is just defenseless. So if you do your attack runs you can avoid enemy fire with deploying some chaffs while zooming over the ground map. Your F-104G also has chaffs, which are pretty much boss, since they break radar locks and deployed countermeasures also fuse the proximity trigger of any SAM. Its no problem to do nice attack runs in a F-104G this way, since Nords are rather precise and your gun/bombs have CCIP target indicators. Flying very low and fast is your only bet to avoid SPAA's. If you wan't to take aim with less speed or with a nice dive attack, you will be most likely shot by SAMs or proxy fused SPAA's. There is no bomb aim indicator, which makes it almost impossible to hit something with 1300 km/h at tree top level. But its almost useless to engage ground targets. Ofc its great to missile down other CAS planes, especially if they're busy attacking enemy player tanks. Just one more word to the grinders which wan't to use it in Ground Forces. Would have been a nice addition while F-4C and Mig-21 SMT's etc. Its quite a bit unbalanced.į-4F early is just a year too late. So F-4F team capabilities are limited and everything which involves climbing will just get you one sided radar guided missile spams. If you want to dodge high capabilitiy heat seekers you always have to burn all you energy (if it even works.), while most opposite planes just switch off their AB and deploy flares. German F-4F teams have 100% no radar guided bvr missiles, no flares and no chaffs.
As it was already mentioned here.īut also missing capabilities might be a reason for the complete and utter failure of German F-4F early teams. The main issue is probably wallet warrior -, event -, and newb related. I wonder how things will turn out once the F-4F Peace Rhine gets added to the German tree.
Totally glad I did not bother with that event. Like the MiG-21PFM and, to a certain extent, the F2G-1, this jet was an utter mistake and kills further Air RB. I'll let you imagine what happens when they get sided with F-4Fs. This is usually a pain in the **** if you're playing the F-4E or F-4EJ (I have both of them), as they're jets that work best together and not alone. When they're out, it usually narrows down to 4 or 5 fighters versus the majority of the opposing side, still alive. In the majority of the cases, the outcome of a 10.7 match is now decided by how many F-4Fs are there, and on which side they're on. It's either a detriment to your team, or the enemy's, and overall there will always be one side that's not enjoying a fair battle. People at Gaijin exactly knew what they were doing when they decided to put it as the "best" prize. Not a whole lot you can do when a top tier event prize gets released like this.
